NOTE

The extensive use of colour in the Huber charts was developed by Bruno Huber and has now become a worldwide standard.

THE HOUSES

The whole chart is divided into 12 sections and these represent the 12 houses of the horoscope. These houses embody everything external to the bearer of the chart. Therefore they represent our environment, our world and the people in it and it is here that we experience the manifestation of daily life where we have to make a living, deal with other people and meet challenges and where we aim for success and fulfillment. Each house represents a different area of life although they do merge into one another in a subtle sequential way.

House meanings in Classical Astrology

These are the historical but somewhat outdated meanings of the houses. They have emained rigid and fixed over centuries and no longer reflect accurately the conditions of our modern world. In history the notion of individual growth and personal development did not exist. Our contemporary understanding of the houses as shown below, now reflects this very vital notion.
