SAMPLE LESSON SUMMARY

When reading through, think carefully about the meaning of the statements. If something is unclear, work through the relevant part of the lesson again. The zodiac is an imaginary belt around the earth in the sky which is traversed by the sun during it’s annual rhythm. It consists of twelve 30 degree sections, each containing one of the twelve zodiac signs. Western astrology works with the twelve signs of the zodiac – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces. In a chart the planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto as well as the Sun and Moon and its ascending lunar node are shown. For simplicity, the Sun and Moon are also referred to as planets. The angular distances between planets in the horoscope are called aspects. Aspects are drawn as coloured lines and represent single or multiples of 30 degrees. The Huber method uses the following aspects: 0 degrees – conjunction 30 degrees – semi-sextile 60 degrees – sextile 90 degrees – square 120 degrees – trine 150 degrees – quincunx 180 degrees – opposition

AP depicts zodiacal signs, planets and aspects in corresponding colours. The colours have an additional symbolic meaning.
