Astronomical Basics
A basic understanding of the wheel-work of cosmic cycles as researched and studied by astronomy, provides a useful and integral part to developing an understanding of the space-time co-ordinates of horoscopes. Therefore, every well informed astrologer should at least have a basic working knowledge of astronomy in their toolkit. Many astrologically interested people, including some «practising astrologers» tend to be oblivious of this connection, sometimes even the order of the planets in their orbital placements around the sun. Common scientific astronomy does not only contribute hard fact data, such as the ephemerides, nodal position of moon etc. in other words, facts concerning the «core hardware» of astrology, but it also supplies us with deeper technical knowledge (galactic centre etc.) , which cannot be ignored by astrology.
